Little Bodhi SCC(LBSCC) Bursary Cum Award Presentation Day

The LBSCC Bursary Cum Award Presentation Day, held on 14 December 2024, was a joyous celebration of student achievements and talents. On that day, we celebrated the hard work and achievements of our Little Bodhi students and also recognised the talents of our students. The event was not just about awards, but it was about honouring resilience, commitment and the love of learning that each student brings.

The event took place at the LBSCC premises, beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at 12:30 p.m., leaving all attendees with fond memories of the vibrant performances, inspiring speeches, and engaging exhibitions.

Recognition of Achievements

A total of 25 awards were presented during the event, honouring students for their academic and non-academic achievements. These awards aimed to encourage and motivate students in various aspects of their development. The award winners were:

The recipients were cheered on by their peers, teachers, and proud parents, creating a heart-warming atmosphere.

Performances by Students

Students showcased their talents through meticulously rehearsed performances, demonstrating their hard work and creativity. The performances included:

  1. Song Performance: Primary 1 students (Eugene Teom Anson Yip, Ho Jun Yat, Heng Shyuan Ru, Noel Wong, Hew Zi Qing, Amelia Lim, Auinnabelle Lim, Boo Cheng Jun, Khaleefa Redzuan, Avery Ng, The Kai Jian & Luo Shi Xin) sang “It’s a Beautiful Day.”
  2. Martial Arts: Eason Teo performed an impressive wushu routine.
  3. Dance to Justin Bieber’s “Baby”: A lively performance by three Primary 4 students (Low An Qi, Heng Huai Le and Fong Ya Ting)
  4. Chinese Dance: Primary 2 students presented a graceful dance titled “Spring Flower.”
  5. Viral Hit Dance: Upper Primary students performed to the viral song “APT”
  6. Korean Folk Dance: Primary 3 students (Hao Xuan, Adam Hakimi, Ng Yi Heng, Quintus Lim and Poh Hui Xin) danced to the classic tune “Arirang”
  7. Rhymes Performance: Primary 1 students (Eugene Teom Anson Yip, Ho Jun Yat, Heng Shyuan Ru, Noel Wong, Hew Zi Qing, Amelia Lim, Auinnabelle Lim, Boo Cheng Jun, Khaleefa Redzuan, Avery Ng, The Kai Jian & Luo Shi Xin) charmed the audience with a rhymes presentation.
  8. Dance to “Baby Shark Remix”: An energetic and playful hip hop dance by Chong Ya Xuan, Myra Moe, Gladys Yip, Charisse Lim, Ng Zhi Wei.
  9. Zumba Performance: A cheerful and upbeat performance to the Chinese song “Children’s Sky.”
  10. Hip-Hop Dance: A dynamic performance by three girls to Stray Kids’ “Chk Chk Boom.”

Student Speeches

In between performances, a student representative from each class delivered speeches sharing their daily activities at the student care centre. The student representatives were Teh Kai Jian (Primary 1 class), Lim Wann Noa Charisse (Primary 2 class), Hew Hao Xuan (Primary 3 class) and Chong Ya Xuan (Upper Primary class). These heartfelt accounts gave our esteemed guests and parents a glimpse into the students’ routines, learning experiences, and personal growth at the centre.

Opening and Closing Speeches

The event commenced with a speech by the Centre Supervisor, Mrs Nas, who provided a comprehensive report on the centre’s 2024 activities. Mrs Nas’ reflections highlighted the centre’s commitment to fostering holistic development among students. The event concluded with a speech by the Chairman, Dr Benny Febriansyah, who commended the students, staff, and parents for their dedication and support throughout the year.

Grand Finale and Exhibition

The grand finale featured all students and teachers singing “Try Everything” by Shakira, leaving the audience inspired and uplifted. The finale was an apt way to end the day’s event; it was a perfect reminder to all present, to always keep trying their best and to keep pushing forward despite any setbacks and difficulties they may face. Following the performances, guests were treated to a scrumptious tea reception and an exhibition of students’ work. The exhibits showcased the creativity and ingenuity of the students through various projects completed during the school holidays, including craftwork, upcycling projects, and science experiments.

Conclusion

The 2024 LBSCC Bursary Cum Award Presentation Day was a resounding success, celebrating the diverse achievements of the students while fostering a sense of community and pride among attendees. The event ended on a high note, with all the guests leaving at 12:30 p.m., carrying with them the joyous spirit of the day.
