On 4th Sep, 23 children from our centre participated in Esplanade’s Octoburst 2018.
They were introduced to the main characters commonly found in Chinese opera (e.g.
小生 and 花旦 etc.) and in groups, they used their puppets to tell stories of kindness.
They watched enthralled as the trainers made puppets come alive to portray characters
in well-loved classics such as Justice Bao and Journey to the West. All in all, children
had a most fun and engaging time interacting with the trainers. We look forward to
more sessions to come.
